Singo Crazy Gives Kemayoran Tigers First Home Defeat

The results of Persija Jakarta vs Arema FC in the 20th week of the BRI Super League 2025-2026 season which was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan, Sunday afternoon 8 February 2026, ended with a score of 0-2.

Persija bagged a surprising result in their home match tonight. Tonight’s 0-2 result was the Kemayoran Tigers’ first home defeat this season.

Of course, the defeat of Mauricio Souza’s team against Arema FC was never expected. Appearing to be pressing from the start of the match, with many opportunities and superiority in possession of the ball, Persija did not move in the second half.

Arema FC’s new player, Gabriel ‘Gabi’ Silva, scored two goals against the hosts, in the 82nd and 90+10 minutes respectively.

Persija actually took the lead in the 78th minute through the action of Gustavo Almeida, who immediately ran to the edge of the field and celebrated his goal in front of the stands.

However, not long after, the referee checked the VAR, and it was seen that one of the Persija players was in an offside position when the goal occurred. That goal was disallowed, until finally Arema scored two winning goals.

In third place, Persija failed to add points and still has 41 points. Meanwhile, Arema FC rose to ninth position with 27 points.

Arema FC also got a golden opportunity through the action of the player they borrowed from Persija, Hansamu Yama, when the match had just entered the 9th minute. However, Hansamu’s header was blocked by Rizky Ridho.

Arema FC had another chance through the action of their new player, Gabriel Silva, who again failed to produce results for the visiting team because Carlos Eduardo managed to secure the ball.

ALMOST!! Gustavo Almeida had a golden opportunity in the 20th minute. However, when he was facing one on one with goalkeeper Adi Satryo, Gustavo’s shot failed to reach the opponent’s goal because the ball was blocked by Adi.

Rizky Ridho managed to make a brilliant save in the 36th minute by thwarting an attack attempt by Rio Fahmi.

Rizky also made another brilliant save when Joel Vinicius tried to build an attack right in the 45th minute. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

Both teams immediately stepped on the gas after the break, especially Persija who insisted on providing perfect points at home. However, Mauricio Souza’s team seemed to have difficulty conquering Arema’s back line.

Witan Sulaeman almost gave Persija the lead 10 minutes after the break. Unfortunately, his hard shot in the opponent’s penalty area still went up. FAIL!!

ALMOST!! It was Gustavo Almeida’s turn to fail to take advantage of Maxwell Souza’s cross which rolled in front of the Singo Edan team’s goal.

GOAL ANNOLED!! Gustavo actually managed to score the ball into Arema FC’s goal and put Persija ahead in the 78th minute after Arlyansah’s chance was saved by Adi Satryo, and he took advantage of the rebound which he immediately hit into his former team’s goal. However, the referee disallowed this goal for offside.

GOAL!!! Arema FC actually managed to score a goal in the 82nd minute through a shot from Gabriel Silva who dribbled the ball from the middle of the field and managed to get past several home players. 1-0 The away team is ahead!!

Instead of scoring an equalizing goal, Carlos conceded again in injury time at 90+10. Gabriel Silva scored another goal against Persija after he used Dalberto’s pass from the middle of the field, without being able to prevent several Persija players who were chasing him. GOAL!! 2-0!
