Premier League to maintain the ability to sell hotels to related companies

Support that is not enough to be collected among the Premier League clubs to hold a voting about changes in rules related to fixed assets.

The decision means that Premier League clubs like Chelsea will still be able to sell hotels to companies related to their owners without penalties.

The Blues sold two hotels in 2023 and included the income generated in submitting their profit and sustainability rules, causing controversy.

They also sell their women’s teams to related companies for £ 200 million in steps that are still being reviewed. The agreement for the two hotels was cleaned by the league.

The Premier League Rules now state that the transaction must be carried out on a reasonable market value, and a proposal to change the rules regarding fixed assets “does not get enough support to submit voting”, according to the PA News Agency.

“The club knows to the meeting at Harrogate that there will be no votes.”

This is the third time in a few years in a short year that the Premier League clubs have decided not to make changes to the rules related to fixed assets even though the pyramid below – under EFL – brought harder rules for the club in 2021.

A number of Premier League clubs have struggled with restrictions applied to them with profit and sustainability rules.

The club must be creative in how they remain in the rule parameters, while there are a number of efforts to change this rule for different models.

Chelsea’s decision to sell their women’s team for £ 200 million resulted in a net profit of almost £ 130 million.

They announced an investment of £ 20 million by Alexis Ohanian-one of the founders of Reddit and husband Serena Williams-Baru-Baru-new with 10 percent acquisition in line with the assessment placed in the Super Women’s League and the FA Cup champion by senior figures in Chelsea.
