Aston Villa Gilas AS Roma 4-0, but Morgan Rogers is injured ahead of the opening of the Premier League

The match which was held at the Bescot Pallet-Track Stadium, Walsall, on Wednesday night was filled with enthusiasm of Villa fans. They watched Unai Emery’s team dominated the game since the early minutes.

However, a worrying moment occurred when Morgan Rogers had to be pulled out a few minutes after entering as a substitute.

Rogers injury is the main spotlight

The England international was seen landing imperfectly on his left ankle. He immediately got medical treatment in the field before walking out to the dressing room. Although it seemed to be going without help, the decision to pull out was allegedly a precautionary step.

Unai Emery certainly hopes that this injury is not serious considering that Villa will play the Premier League opening match against Newcastle on August 16.

Villa’s game declined slightly in the second half, giving Roma a little space. Roma’s best chance came from Matias Soule, who fired hard and hit the crossbar.
