13-TIME champion trainer John Size could be the man to follow when racing kicks off with an 11-race programme, including several Group Three contests at Sha Tin in Hong Kong on Sunday.
Size appears to have fallen off the radar with regards to winning the trainer’s title race and is currently 10 winners behind leading duo Caspar Fownes and Danny Shum.
The master trainer has always played down his chances of winning another title, but there are still 13 race meetings remaining in the season, and with such firepower in his stable, there is plenty of time to bounce back to his best with a treble or even more before the season ends.
Size is sending out heavy artillery this weekend. Nine of his troops headed for Sha Tin, including a very attractive prospect SKY JEWELRY in the Group Three Lion Rock Cup Handicap (09.05) over one mile.
The four-year-old suffered serious health problems before the end of last year and needed all the care and expertise of Size’s kid gloves to get him back to top condition.
Two wins, including a Grade Two Members’ Cup Handicap over the course and distance earlier this month, show he is back on form, and from his current handicap record, he should be hard to beat.
The stable should already be on the scoresheet, with a talented former Irish import RED MAESTRO who looks set to score his first success in the seven-metre Hakka Cup Handicap (08.05).
Size always had plenty of time for the son of the Ten Lords and even sent him on seven trials before he made his debut in March.
He reappeared earlier this month, in impressive form, chasing the handy Baby Sakura over track and distance, and should now be ready to reward his trainer’s patience.
Stable friend PEGASUS CROSS BORDERS can challenge the top class in the six-furlong Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce Ka Ying (Meizhou) General Cup Handicap (11.20am).
Despite winning three times in his eight-race career, the Australian import has hurt many bettors with his unique habits during races on numerous occasions.
However, he has looked better behaved of late and his recent performance against recent winner progressive My Mars suggests he has a lot of upside over his rivals.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
